Worth a chuckle

A friend emailed the NBA and this was the response... I thought it was funny
FROM: Blank

MESSAGE:
This is in regards to the Indiana Pacers / Miami Heat game on Nov. 22. At
the end of the first quarter, it appeared that Lebron James scored a
legitimate two point field goal that would have put the score at 24-19 for
Miami. The score was never changed to reflect that and no explanation was
proffered at anytime, with even the television announcers noting the
irregularity. Given the NBA'S dubious history concerning a lack of
integrity with its officials and referees I would like a legitimate
explanation. I am seriously considering disregarding the sport in the
future, because I am unable to confidently believe that the sport is
conducted in an entirely fair and honest manner. This is very
disconcerting. An explanation would be much appreciated.

Thank you

Dear Blank:

Thank you for writing the National Basketball Association with your
concerns. I reviewed the tape and watched the last minute of the first
quarter. If you remember, Juwan Howard scored a basket while
simultaneously committing a charging foul. The television scorekeeper
counted the basket at the time and did not take it down. When LeBron
scored, then, he did not add the basket to the total score but kept it at
22. Thus, it was the correct score at the end of the quarter.

Thank you again for writing.

Sincerely,

NBA Fan Relations
